Your Role as a Personal Care Worker (PCW)

As a PCW, your role will be integral to upholding the Aged Care Quality Standards, ensuring that residents receive care that meets both their physical and emotional needs. You will:

• Assist residents with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and repositioning

• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to clinical staff

• Follow individualised care plans and maintain accurate documentation to ensure each resident’s needs are met

• Ensure the rights and dignity of each resident are respected, and encourage their independence and participation in decision-making

• Collaborate closely with the clinical team to provide person-centred care that meets the highest standards

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and person-centred care
• Compassionate, respectful, and dependable nature
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

• Previous experience in residential aged care

• Italian language skills (advantageous, not essential)
