About the Role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role leads maintenance and procurement services across our residential, community, and retirement living sites. You’ll balance hands on technical work, team leadership, and smart procurement decisions, ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, and always presentation ready. No two days are the same, one day you might be coordinating contractors and budgets, the next you’re mentoring your team, or running emergency evacuation exercises… or walking a site with a manager planning improvements. What You’ll Be Doing - Leading preventative, reactive, and emergency maintenance across multiple sites
- Coordinating and mentoring a skilled maintenance team
- Managing contractors, suppliers, and service agreements
- Overseeing procurement, quotes, tenders, and budgets
- Supporting capital works and minor refurbishments
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, fire safety, and the Aged Care Act 2024
- Keeping our sites audit-ready and residents safe and comfortable
- Being part of a shared after-hours emergency maintenance roster
What We’re Looking For, You’re someone who: - Has a recognised trade qualification and solid building or maintenance management experience
- Is organised, practical, and calm under pressure
- Enjoys leading people and building a positive team culture
- Understands procurement, contracts, and budgets (or is keen to grow in this space)
- Takes pride in doing things properly, safely, ethically, and transparently
- Communicates well with everyone from contractors, trades, suppliers, to site managers to residents
- Experience in aged care, health, or residential facilities is highly regarded, but your attitude, leadership, and values matter just as much.
