Bene Aged Care is proud to announce the launch of our Specialist Dementia Care Unit at our St. Agnes site, and we are now seeking dedicated, compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. Shift Timings:

  • AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • PM Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred nursing care to older individuals living with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).

  • Assess, plan, and implement high-quality care in accordance with personalised care plans, ensuring cultural preferences and family needs are respected.

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring the highest standard of care delivery.

  • Monitor and manage residents’ health, mobility, and cognitive status, reporting changes to clinical staff and adjusting care plans as needed.

  • Promote independence, rehabilitation-focused care, and quality of life for residents through skilled nursing interventions.

  • Contribute to care planning, quality improvement, and continuous learning to meet new Aged Care Quality Standards, ensuring compliance and excellence in dementia care.

What You Bring:

Essential:

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Experience in aged care, particularly with dementia care

  • Strong understanding of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) and the ability to manage these symptoms effectively

  • Excellent clinical skills with a person-centred, compassionate approach

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

Desirable:

  • Experience in a Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP) is highly regarded
